For the past 15 years, I’ve helped thousands of people just like you overcome fatigue, insomnia, stress, moodiness and hormone issues. I can help you experience renewed resilience and wake up feeling energetic each morning.
I grew up with a holistic approach to health. My parents opened a small health food store in 1979 that later morphed into a wellness center. I began working there while still in high school. I received my diplomas for both Doctor of Naturopathy and Master Herbalist from Trinity College of Natural Health and later became board certified as a Doctor of Naturopathy. (The state of Indiana does not license Naturopathic Doctors.) I also became certified in Integrative Mental Health as I continue to see more and more women seeking to improve their anxiety and mood.
After 25 years of experience in the natural health industry, I have noticed an important trend: most women coming to see me are dealing with the effects of stress or trauma and burnout even if their primary symptoms seem unrelated. As I begin to address this, women successfully improve their health – emotionally, mentally, and physically!
Even though I had the knowledge of the effects of stress and burnout on the body, I ignored it. I am a high achiever and I LOVE helping people—which took a toll on my health. Additionally, I experienced early childhood trauma which negatively impacted my nervous system, leaving me stuck in chronic fight or flight. Today, I work hard to offset the effects of personal stress because I am very susceptible to it. This awareness and past experiences help me empathize with women in a state of stress or overwhelm. I understand the emotional and mental connection with physical health!
I have done extensive research on behalf of my clients and through my own personal journey, on the correlation between nervous system health and trauma or chronic stress. My insights have been featured monthly by Teach Them Diligently Homeschool Organization and other magazines and podcasts. I have been a national speaker for Nature’s Sunshine Products and other associations.
When I am not consulting with clients, you will often find me busy with my family. I love my nieces and nephews and enjoy being with them! I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I love to experience new places, new books and make new memories, but I also find great delight in familiar favorites. There is joy in flowers, music and a cup of tea with a friend!
